PR agency Redleaf Communications has hired Laura Westmacott as an associate director on its Property team, focused on the luxury residential portfolio. She has joined Redleaf from an independent Dubai agency specialising in luxury brands, where she was the second in command and head of corporate, and supported the growth of the agency from seven to 30 people in under four years.
Laura had a diverse portfolio in Dubai, including real estate, luxury, place-making and country reputation management, hospitality, retail, and finance and professional services. She also has experience gained from roles with Bell Pottinger and Ketchum.
Earlier in her career, Laura spent almost ten years as a news editor for Al Jazeera English, BBC, ABC News, and APTN, so is adept at telling a story and tailoring it to different media outlets.
Henry Columbine, Managing Director of Redleaf Communications, commented:
“With particularly strong expertise in building brand partnerships in the luxury sector and exceptional connections in and knowledge of the Middle East, Laura brings additional skills to boost the service we offer to our high-end residential property clients. With the large volume of developers trying to reach high-net-worth individuals in the UK and internationally, a creative and multi-faceted approach is key to helping them achieve their business objectives. Laura combines an ability to secure valuable coverage in high-end titles with a first-rate network and experience of setting up collaborations with relevant organisations.”
Laura Westmacott added:
“Joining Redleaf is a fantastic opportunity. The team’s work in the luxury residential sector is extremely well regarded and its portfolio of luxury properties - from Mayfair to the City, and exciting developments internationally - is unrivalled.
“My role will be to oversee the strategic planning for these accounts, expanding our little black book of luxury media contacts internationally, looking for brand partnership opportunities and bringing my business development expertise to the fore, whilst always working towards supporting clients’ commercial objectives - helping to generate valuable sales leads, not just column inches.”
